What is the Appeal Committee and what does it do?
The Appeal Committee administers the Amnesty International Australia Appeal Policy and Procedure. This policy applies to any person who has been personally affected by processes, outcomes and decisions under AI Australia's policies other than those in relation to staff and management issues.
The Appeal Committee comprises two eligible members of AI Australia, usually elected by the Annual General Meeting for a period of two years. However, the National Board may appoint candidates to these roles when there is a vacancy.
There is currently a vacancy that can be appointed by the Board.
