This position is a contact point with a key supporter group – people who have decided to leave a gift in their will or are considering leaving a gift in their will to Amnesty - and whose legacy will fund human rights work long into the future.
This role focuses on nurturing relationships with confirmed and prospective bequestors, particularly through developing individualised stewardship plans. Reporting to the Gifts in Wills Specialist, this role will provide support on Gifts in Wills campaigns and strategy implementation.
Your success in the role will be underpinned by your empathetic and engaging nature, effective communication and attention to detail.
You will have:
- High level communication and interpersonal skills (written, face to face, telephone, social media), ideally with experience in a not-for-profit environment
- Experience of coordinating a Gifts in Wills program (or similar) and proven success in supporter cultivation
- Demonstrated track record of identifying, developing and securing high value legacy or similar gifts from donors
- Demonstrated ability to network, inspire others and build relationships with a variety of people
- Ability to establish and monitor budgets and attention to detail
- Demonstrates evidence-based decision making
- Marketing, fundraising or other relevant higher education qualifications
- Experience in telemarketing and/or direct marketing
- Initiative and the ability to work proactively
- Familiarity with human rights issues and social change methods and tactics, including experience of mass mobilisation, activism and organising techniques
- Demonstrated experience in or commitment to working with rights holders

The salary for this position is $90,870 plus super and is offered on a 2 year contract basis.
